The Acker Quality shop was the DiBruno's of its day, selling coffee, tea, confections and other gourmet items, plus products we don't usually associate with a food emporium such as perfumes and cigars. The interior was ornate to say the least. Today, the building is relatively unchanged and houses an ice cream shop, appropriately enough. The corner property at 12th and Chestnut was originally built by the S.S. White Dental Works.
